“We can only admit 4000 of the 17,000 AAUA Post Utme Candidates” – DVC Academics
No fewer than 17, 904 candidates, who registered for the 2015/2016 post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) Ondo State, are jostling for 4,000 available spaces in the institution. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof Oluyemisi Adebowale, made this known at a briefing.
Adebowale said: “Over 22,000 candidates picked AAUA through JAMB, and 17, 904 candidates qualified for the post-UTME, but we are going to admit below 4,000.”
The post-UTME, which is a computer-based test, held on Monday and Tuesday last week.
Adebowale, who said AAUA’s extant merit-driven admission policy subsists, warned candidates to be wary of impostors who might want to extort money and other valuables from them as inducements for admission.
She said, “At the end of the test, we will collate all the results and go to the drawing board to decide the cut-off mark. Any candidate whose score falls within the required mark is automatically admitted. Candidates don’t need to know anybody. Our admission at AAUA is still absolutely merit-driven.”
