Wageningen University Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the Africa Scholarship Programme will receive:
- Coverage of travel expenses to and from the Netherlands.
- A monthly living allowance throughout the 24-month master’s program.
- Full tuition fee coverage.
- Visa fees and health insurance.
- Financial support for attending one European seminar, including travel, accommodation, and registration costs.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Wageningen University & Research Africa scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an African country.
- Apply to a Wageningen University master’s program by the designated deadline.
- Obtain unconditional admission to an MSc program.
- Hold a First Class Honours degree with a GPA of at least 80%.
- Ideally, not already hold a master’s degree.
Application Process
This scholarship operates by invitation, and direct applications are not accepted. Follow these steps to be considered:
- By 1 February 2025: Apply for an MSc programme at Wageningen University.
- By 13 March 2025: Approximately 40 selected candidates will receive invitations to proceed in the scholarship selection process.
- By 25 March 2025: Complete the assigned project or assessment.
- By 8 April 2025: Around 20 shortlisted candidates will be invited for online interviews.
- 22 April – 1 May 2025: Participate in interviews via MS Teams.
- By 8 May 2025: Final results will be announced to all candidates.
