WAEC Introduces GCE “Walk-in Candidates” Registration 2016

The West African Examination Council, WAEC has introduced GCE “walk-in candidates” registration scheme for the Nov/Dec 2016 WASSCE edition of the examination. This is to inform all concerned applicants that West African Examinations Council, WAEC ‘walk-in-candidates’ registration for the Nov/Dec 2016 WASSCE will commence immediately after the closure of the normal registration window.

All the candidates that missed registering for the 2016 WAEC Nov/Dec GCE during the normal registration window can henceforth utilize the opportunity of the new scheme introduced by the council. “Walk-in candidates” is for intending candidates for the November/December WASSCE, who were unable to register during the normal registration period.

This scheme provides interested candidates the opportunity to register and sit for the examination as GCE ‘walk-in candidates’. This scheme is especially useful for candidates who are deficient in one subject or the other and wish to make it up with the WAEC GCE 2016 examination. Candidates however have to register the minimum number of subjects but not necessarily the maximum.

How to Apply for WAEC GCE “Walk-in Candidates” Registration 2016

Candidates interested in WAEC GCE “Walk-in Candidates registration” 2016 should go to any WAEC zonal or branch office, with two passport photographs, in addition to the registration fee of Twenty Five Thousand Naira N25,000 in bank draft drawn in favour of the West African Examinations Council not later than the day of the paper they intended to sit.

Such candidates must complete the registration formalities at any WAEC zonal or branch office and register without prejudice to the minimum number of subjects.

Commencement and Closing Date of WAEC GCE “Walk-in Candidates” Registration 2016

The ’walk-in candidates’ registration will commence after 29th July, 2016 and continue throughout the duration of the examination. However, candidates must register before the exam date(s) of the paper(s) they intend to sit for.

Interested candidates should take note of this development and make adequate preparation in that regard!
