UNN Orders Students To Leave Campus Following Protest
The management of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka has ordered the immediate closure of the school for mide semester break following protest by students of the institution over erratic power supply.
It was learnt that the students who reside in the hostel of the school felt agitated after much complaint over the supply of electricity to their hostels. Below is the official statement released by the Chief Public Relations officer of the institution, Okwun Omeaku
“This is to bring to the notice of all students and the entire University of Nigeria Nsukka Community, that the institution shall proceed on a TWO-WEEK MID SEMESTER BREAK with immediate effect. Consequently, all academic activities on the campuses are hereby suspended for the period.
Students are by this notice directed to vacate their hostels within the next 24 HOURS, ie not later than 6pm on TUESDAY, JUNE 02, 2015.”
