NON-ACADEMIC STAFF RECRUITMENT AT UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN
A.)Â TECHNICAL STAFF
i) Senior Technologist (CONTISS 09):
Candidates must possess a B.Sc. degree/HND from any recognized institution in relevant areas with at least 6 years of post qualification working experience.
ii) Technologist II (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess 5 O’Level credits including English Language, plus a B.Sc. degree/HND from any recognized institution in relevant areas.
iii) Technical Officer (CONTISS 06):
Candidates must possess 4 O’Level credits including English Language, plus OND,ONC,ND, C&G construction Technician certificate part I, C&G part II or equivalent in relevant discipline.
iv) Laboratory Assistant (CONTI8SS 03):
Candidates must possess NIST basic or proficiency certificate in addition to SSCE with 4 O’Level credits including Mathematics and any other science subject.
v) Principal Animal Health Assistant (CONTISS 06) (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Teaching Hospital):
Candidates must possess a Diploma from any recognized institution with five (5) O’Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics. Candidates must have at least 6 years post qualification working experience.
B.)Â REGISTRY
i) Administrative Officer CONTISS 08:
Candidates must possess five (5) O’Level credits including English Language plus a University Degree from a recognized University with at least 3 years post qualification working experience.
ii) Administrative Assistant (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credits including English Language plus a University Degree from a recognized University.
iii) Higher Executive Officer (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language plus HND in relevant field.
iv) Executive Officer (CONTISS 06):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Languages plus OND in Administration or equivalent with at least three years post qualification working experience.
v) Assistant Executive Officer (CONTISS 05):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language plus OND in Administration or any other relevant fields.
vi) Confidential Secretary II (CONTISS 06):
Candidates must possess at least Credits Passes in five relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB O’Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 100/50 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting with a minimum of 5 years cognate experience.
vii) Confidential Secretary III (CONTISS 05):
Candidates must possess at least Credits Passes in five relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB O’Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 80/35 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting with a minimum of 4 years cognate experience.
viii) Secretarial Assistant II (CONTISS 04):
Candidates must possess at least Credits Passes in five relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB O’Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 35 W.P.M. speeds in Typewriting with a minimum of 4 years cognate experience.
ix) Clerical Officer (CONTISS 03):
Candidates must have at least five (5) O’Level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Languages.
x) Head Office Assistant (CONTISS 02):
Candidates must have at least First School Leaving Certificate and must have attempted O’Level in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
C.)Â CENTRE FOR OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING
i) Design Team Manager (Principal Technologist (CONTISS 11):
Candidates must possess a minimum of Master degree in Educational or instructional technology from a recognized University. Candidates must have at least nine (9) years working experience preferably in a higher institution.
ii) System Administrator (CONTISS 09):
Candidates must possess a Bachelors degree (B.Eng/B.Tech) in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with special interest in networking. Candidates must have at least 3 years working experience.
iii) System Analyst I (CONTISS 08):
Candidates must possess a good University degree in Computer Science or any other relevant discipline with at least three (3) years working experience preferably in a higher institution setting, with proven skill in web programming and management.
iv) System Analyst II (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess a good University degree in Computer Science or any other relevant discipline with proven skill in web programming and management.
v) Instructional Designers (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess a minimum of first degree in educational or instructional technology from a recognized University.
vi) Technologist II (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess 5 O’level credits including English Language, plus a B.Sc./HND from any reputable in relevant areas.
vii) COUNSELLOR II (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’level credits including English Language plus a University Degree in Educational Guidance & Counselling/Counsellor Education/Counselling Psychology from a recognized University.
D.)Â BURSARY DEPARTMENT
i) Accountant II (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’level credits including English Language and Mathematics and B.Sc. degree in Accountancy/Accounting from a recognized University.
ii) Higher Executive Officer (Accounts) CONTISS 07:
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language and Mathematics plus HND Accounting/Accountancy.
iii) Executive Officer (CONTISS 06):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language plus OND in Accounting/Accountancy with at least (3) years working experience.
iv) Higher Stores Officer (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including Mathematics and English Language plus HND in Purchasing and Supply Management from a recognized Institution.
v) Stores Officer (CONTISS 06):
Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including Mathematics and English Language plus OND in Purchasing and supply Management from a recognized Institution.
E.)Â INTERNAL AUDIT UNIT
i) Auditor II ( CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’level credits including English Language and Mathematics and a B.Sc. degree in Accountancy/Accounting from a recognized University.

i) Senior Archivist (CONTISS 09):
Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language plus a good University degree in History or Archaeology and at least 7 years working experience in a related establishment.
ii) Archivist II (CONTISS 07):

K.)Â ACADEMIC PLANNING UNIT
i) Assistant Planning Officers (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess five (5) O’level credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus a good University degree in Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized University.
L.)Â WORKS AND MAINTENANCE
a.) Civil/Building Unit
i) Maintenance Office II (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess (5) five O’level credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus HND, HNC, C&G Full tech. or C&G Part III Technician Certificate or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
ii) Foreman (Craftsman) (CONTISS 06):
Candidates applying for this position in the 2014 UNILORIN recruitment exercise must possess First School Leaving certificate and trade Test Grade I in civil or Building engineering (Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing etc) with at least 9 years relevant experience. OR Candidates with WAEC/SSCE/NABTEB/NECO/CRAFT CERT or its equivalent with at least 4 credits in relevant subject plus at least 6 years working experience.
iii) Senior Craftsman (Road Overseer) CONTISS 04: Candidates must possess first School Leaving Certificate and Trade Test Grade I in Road Maintenance plus 6 years experience with reputable Road construction Company. OR Candidate with WAEC/SSCE/NABTEB/NECO/CRAFT CERT. or its equivalent with at least 4 credits in relevant subject plus at least 4 years working experience.
b.) Mechanical services Unit:
i) Mechanical Engineering II (CONTISS 07):
Candidates must possess (5) five O’level credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus a good University Degree in Mechanical Engineering with COREN (Council for Regulations of Engineering in Nigeria) Registration and special interest in facilities and project management.
ii) Craftsman (CONTISS 03):
Candidates must possess First School Leaving Certificate and Trade Test Grade II in Mechanical engineering with at least 4 years relevant experience. Candidate with WAEC/SSCE/NABTEB/neco/craft cert. or its equivalent in relevant subjects plus at least 3 years working experience will be considered.
c.) Electrical Unit
i) Foreman (Craftsman) CONTISS 05:
Candidates must possess First School Leaving Certificate and Trade Test Grade I in Electrical Engineering with 9 years relevant experience. Candidate with WAEC/SSCE/NABTEB/NECO/CRAFT CERT or its equivalent with at least 4 credits in relevant subjects plus at least 6 years working experience will be considered.
ii) Craftsman (CONTISS 03):
Candidate must possess First School Leaving Certificate and Trade Test Grade II in Electrical Engineering at least 4 years relevant experience. Candidate with WAEC/SSCE/NABTEB/NECO/CRAFT CERT or its equivalent in relevant subjects plus at least 3 years working experience will be considered.
iii) Assistant Craftsman (CONTISS 02):
Candidate must possess First School Leaving Certificate and Trade Test Grade II in Electrical Engineering at least 3 years relevant experience. Candidate with WAEC/SSCE/NABTEB/NECO/CRAFT CERT or its equivalent in relevant subjects plus at least 2 years working experience will be considered.
