UNIPORT Second Semester Academic Calendar 2015/2016

The University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT second semester academic calendar for the 2015/2016 academic session has been released. This was revealed in a publication released from the school management by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)- Professor Hakeen B Fawehinmi. The academic calendar contains the breakdown of academic activities scheduled to hold throughout the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic session.

Although the University has not commenced academic activities for the semester after the school closed down, this is the proposed schedule of events for the rest of the session. This second semester academic calendar is for students running full time programmes at the University of Port Harcourt. All concerned students are therefore expected to take note of and abide by all the activities and most importantly the deadlines indicated therein. Students scheduled to undergo their SIWES programmes are also indicated in the academic calendar.

UNIPORT Second Semester Academic Calendar 2015/2016

The UNIPORT second semester academic calendar contains activities throughout the second semester of the 2015/2016 session. Listed below are the scheduled activities for the semester;

SECOND SEMESTER 2015/2016 SESSION

Tuesday 3rd may – Monday 16th may 2016 (two weeks): Reopening of portal for students registration

Sunday, 14^th May, 2016: All Students Arrive

Monday, 16^th  May, 2016 – Friday, 12^th August, 2016 [13 weeks]:

1. Lectures Begin for All Students
2. End of Lectures (12^th  August, 2016)
3. SIWES (June 2016 – November, 2016)

Monday, 1^st  August, 2016 – Saturday, 6^th August, 2016: Students Union Week: Cultural Activities/Professional Exhibitions

Monday, 15^th August, 2016 – Friday, 19^th  August, 2016: Revision

Monday, 22^nd August, 2016 – Friday, 9^th September, 2016: Second Semester Examinations

Monday, 12^th September, 2016 – Friday, 14^th October, 2016: 2015/2016 Long Vacation (Full-Time Students)

Wednesday, 12^th October, 2016: Extra-ordinary Meeting of Senate to consider Second Semester 2015/2016 Results

NOTE:

• All public holidays within the period covered by this academic calendar are to be observed.
• All other schedules (such as examination time table) will be released in the remaining course of the session.
