UNIPORT Admission Into M.Sc, PGD In Peace And Conflict Studies, Gender Studies – 2016/2017
Application for UNIPORT M.Sc, PGD in Peace and Conflict Studies, also in Gender studies admission for the 2016/2017 academic session is on and forms are now on sale. The essence of this programme is to provide quality graduate level training and research to enable students analyze conflicts so as to understand the underlying causes and apply appropriate strategies to manage or resolve them.
Admission Requirements For UNIPORT M.Sc, PGD 2016/2017
These are the admission requirements for UNIPORT M.Sc, PGD for the 2016/2017 academic session;
1. M.Sc in Peace and Conflict Studies: Candidate must possess at least a lower Credit in Peace and Conflict Studies or related discipline at the Post Graduate Diploma level. Also, candidates with degrees in related disciplines from any recognized university with a CGPA of 3.00 on 5-point scale will be considered.O’level requirements arenot left out as Mathematics, English Language and three other Arts or Science subjects.
2. M.Sc in Gender and Women Development Studies: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (at least, a Second Class Honours, Lower Division) in Gender Studies or a Degree in any Field from any recognized university with a CGPA of 3.00 on 5-point scale.O’level requirements are in Mathematics, English Language and three other Arts or Science subjects.
3. PGD in Gender and Women Development Studies: Candidates must possess a minimum of Third Class Degree or its equivalent in any field or discipline with a CGPA of 1.50 on 5-point scale of the University of Port Harcourt or any recognized university. For candidates with HND should have a minimum of Upper Credit shall be considered. O’level requirements are in  Mathematics, English Language and three other Arts or Science subjects.
4.  PGD in Peace and Conflict Studies: Candidates must possess a minimum of Third Class Degree or equivalent in any field or discipline with a CGPA of 1.50 on 5-point scale of the University of Port Harcourt or any recognized university. For candidates with HND a minimum of Upper Credit. O’level requirements are in Mathematics, English Language and three other Arts or Science subjects.

To apply for admission at UNIPORT for M.Sc, PGD for the 2016/2017 academic session;
1. Candidates are to pay a  non-refundable sum of N20,500.00 only (inclusive of bank charges) and this enables them to access the application form online or from Centre for Conflict and Gender Studies (CCGS), University of Port Harcourt at Fidelity Bank Plc, A/C No. 5210017988 or U&C Microfinance Bank Ltd., Uniport, Choba, A/C No. 1528023910.
2. Candidates are to visit the school website at www.uniport.edu.ng and carefully follow the instructions.
Application Deadline Date 2016/2017
The application deadline date for UNIPORT M.Sc, PGD for the 2016/2017 academic session should be not later than six weeks from the date of this publication with academic transcripts, two reference letters and other relevant documents at the Centre for Conflict and Gender Studies (CCGS), University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
