UNIMED Acquires MBBS, BDS Accreditation – 2017

University of Medical Sciences, UNIMED, Ondo has been granted accreditation for its MBBS and BDS programmes by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN. This accreditation is coming barely two years after the establishment of the first medical science university in the country.

Students, members of the public and prospective beneficiaries of the MBBS, BDS courses are hereby informed.

 

The accreditation followed the verification conducted by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) in October to ascertain the facilities and human resources available for the training of medical and dental students. This was contained in a statement by Temitope Oluwatuyi of the institution’s Public Relations Department. In a letter dated October 18, 2017, the Acting Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Dr. T. A. B Sanusi, said with the approval.

University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, UNIMED, can now legally conduct the first MBBS professional and BDS examinations.
