About UMYU Postgraduate Studies
UMYU Postgraduate programme commenced in 2011/2012 Academic Session after the approval by Senate and Council of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina as well as National Universities Commission (NUC).
The programme of the University kicked off in 2011/2012 session with 72 students comprising of 5 Ph.D, 59 Masters Degree and 8 PGDE. The number has steadily increased over the years. It increased to 116 in 2012/2013 Academic session with 3 Ph.D, 106 Masters Degree and 7 PGDE.
The number of Postgraduate candidates at UMYU has since then steadily increased over the years. In 2013/2014 session the number rose to 135 students with 106 Masters Degree and 29 Postgraduate Diploma students.
