Times Higher Education Ranking of Universities in Nigeria 2019
Covenant University, Ota (CU) tops the Times Higher Education ranking of universities in Nigeria for 2019. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019 includes more than 1,250 universities, making it their biggest international league table to date.

It is the only global university performance table to judge research-intensive universities across all of their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
They use 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons, trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments.
Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking of Nigerian Universities
According to the latest ranking released on the 26th of September 2018 by THE at the World Academic Summit in Singapore, Covenant has been ranked within the 601-800 bracket, The University is now the best in Nigeria and West Africa.
The only other two Nigerian universities on the list are the University of Ibadan (UI) and University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). The universities are placed in the 601–800 and 1001+ brackets in the world respectively.
They are also ranked second and third best universities in Nigeria respectively.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that Covenant University is sitting pretty on the list above such notable universities as Coventry University (UK), University of Delhi (India), East China University of Science and Technology (China), University of Johannesburg (South Africa) and many more.
