Benefits of the SI Scholarship for Women in STEM

Recipients of the scholarship will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Full Tuition Coverage: Fees are paid directly to the Swedish university.
  • Living Stipend: SEK 12,000 per month for accommodation and daily expenses.
  • Travel Grant: A one-time payment of SEK 15,000 for international travel.
  • Professional Growth: Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP).
  • Post-Scholarship Development: Access the SI Alumni Network for lifelong learning and networking opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify:

  • Be a female citizen of an eligible country.
  • Apply for a master’s program starting in autumn 2025 at a Swedish university.
  • Have no prior SI scholarship or degree from a Swedish university.
  • Not currently enrolled in a master’s program at any Swedish university.
  • Have not lived in Sweden for more than two years before applying.

Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries:

  • Bangladesh
  • Indonesia
  • Kenya
  • Malaysia
  • Nigeria
  • Philippines
  • Rwanda
  • South Africa
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Note: Candidates with dual citizenship must choose one eligible nationality. Those from ineligible countries can explore the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals or check Sweden’s scholarship database for alternatives.

How to Apply for the SI Scholarship for Women in STEM

  1. Apply for Admission: Apply for a master’s program through the University Admissions portal.
  2. Scholarship Consideration: Once your application is submitted and you meet the eligibility requirements, you will automatically be considered for the SI Scholarship.

Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted by 15 January 2025.
