Prof A.A Elujoba Emerges As OAU’s Acting Vice Chancellor
Professor Anthony Adebolu Elujoba emerges as OAU ‘s Acting VC as unanimously appointed by OAU Senate. The institution’s Senate sat today at 10 a.m following directive from the President to appoint a professor as acting vice Chancellor. It would be recalled that the institution has been embroiled in protest following the appointment of Professor Ayobami Salami as VC, President Muhammadu Buhari had to intervene.
OAU Appoints Prof A.A Elujoba Acting Vice Chancellor
The meeting which took place at Conference Centre and lasted for almost three hours brought in Prof A.A Elujoba as acting VC. Prof Elujoba was alleged to be a favorite of NASU, SSANU and ASUU. Others were Professors A.A Adediran (department of history), Adesegun Fatusi ( faculty of health sciences), Olanrewaju Nassar (department of management and accounting) and Titilayo Kuku (faculty of technology).
It was gathered that he won with 201 votes out of 206, He floored all other contestants making him now the acting Vice Chancellor of the University. Students would only hope this could bring the desired changed they have always clamored for.
