Police Rescue 2 Kidnapped ESUT Students, Arrest Suspects
Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have rescued two kidnapped students of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology(ESUT).
A statement by public relations officer of the command, Ebere Amaraizu said the victims identified as Alexander Afamefuna, a third year of political science student and Miracle Chukwuemeka, a female second year sociology student were rescued in the early hours of last Tuesday.
According to Amaraizu, the female student said they were allegedly abducted on “17/2/14 around 7pm from their hostel located opposite the school gate as they came down from upstairs to buy water.”
Amaraizu further disclosed that hoodlums numbering about four pointed a gun at them and ordered them to get into a waiting taxi, near their hostel. Source: Leadership Newspaper
