POGIL, Ijebu Ode Produces Pioneer HND Graduates
THE premier private health polytechnic in Ogun State – POGIL College of Health Technology, Oke-Eri, Ijebu-Ode, has produced the first set of Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates in Environmental Science, 10 years after take-off.
The Proprietor, Dr Adegoke Isaac, told reporters during a facility tour of the institution’s permanent campus, that the 42 graduates would be mobilised for the National Youth Service Corps this year.
Adegoke also disclosed that the college’s programmes in Community Health Extension Work, Health Information Management, Dispensary Optician, Environmental Health Technology, Science Laboratory Technology and Pharmaceutical technology, have been accredited by the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE).
“After due process and completion of all necessary procedures for the approval and licensing by NBTE, the arm for guideline and standard, I like to announce to us that we have been given the approval and we are duly licensed by NBTE,” he said.
The accreditation, he said, was done last year.
The Proprietor, who showed off the certificate of approval from NBTE to the excitement of the students, added that from next session, applicants to the college would have to pass through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
