Apply for NDDC 2016 Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is commencing the 2016 Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships Programme to assist students from the South-South Region of Nigeria who are interested in furthering their education abroad (Masters and Ph.D included). The NDDC 2016 Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarship Programme is aimed at equipping Niger Deltans with the relevant training and skills for effective participation in the Local Content Programme of the Federal Government as well as compete globally in various professional fields.
Fields Covered by the NDDC PG Foreign Scholarship Programme
The Scholarship Programme Scheme is for suitably qualified applicants with relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s Degrees from recognized Universities. Applicants must possess relevant Bachelor’s/Masters degree in the following academic fields:
Engineering
2. Medical Sciences (M.Sc. Public Health excluded)
3. Computer Science/Technology
4. Geology
5. Geosciences
6. Environmental Sciences
7. Agriculture
8. Environmental or Gas/Oil Law
9. Project Management
Requirements for the NDDC 2016 PG Foreign Scholarship
Applicants applying for the NDDC 2016 Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarship Programme must meet the following requirements:
- First Degree with minimum of 2 Class Lower Division for those wishing to undertake a Master’s Degree programme and a good Master’s Degree for PhD candidates from a recognized university.
- Applicants must have gained admission for a Post Graduate Programme in any of the listed disciplines above, in a foreign University.
- Applicants who have already enrolled in overseas’ universities are NOT eligible to apply.
- Guarantor’s written consent of good conduct of the applicant from any of the following persons from the applicant’s community/clan.
a. Member of National Assembly
b. Chairman of the LGA.
c. First class traditional ruler.
d. High Court Judge - Persons with evidence of cult membership or criminal record shall not be considered for the award.
- Applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC).
- Applicants must have a valid Admission Letter from a Foreign University.
How to Apply
All applications must be made on the NDDC official website. The following documents must be attached to the online application:
- Recent passport photograph
- Local Government identification letter.
- Post Graduate (PG) admission letter from Overseas University.
- Relevant Degrees from recognized University.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
After successfully completing the online application form, you will automatically be assigned a registration number. Endeavour to print the online generated acknowledgement form.
