Nasarawa State University Keffi, NSUK Resumption Date Postponed Indefinitely
We informed the general public and the students of Nasarawa State University Keffi, NSUK recently that the management of the school has fixed a date for the re-opening of the school after the institution (NSUK) was shut down as a result of students unrest that led to destruction of properties.
We are using this medium to inform you today that the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura has accused the management of NSUK of not investigating the cause of the problem before telling the students to come back to school.
In a statement issued by the Deputy Governor of the state, Damishu Luka, it he reminded us that the students of Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) engaged in riot over poor water supply in the institution, leading to alleged death of some of the students and destruction of properties.
In his statement, he said and we quote:
Therefore, the Nasarawa State University, Keffi will remain closed until the fundamental problems that culminated in the crisis are satisfactorily addressed within the shortest possible time. In doing so, government will be guided by the Committee’s findings.
The students of Nasarawa State University Keffi, NSUK should hereby note that their resumption date has been postponed indefinitely.
