Mimiko tasks outgoing corps members on patriotism – A.A.U.A VC
The Vice Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Prof. Femi Mimiko, has advised the 33 outgoing Batch ‘B’ members of the National Youth Service Corps, who observed their one-year compulsory national service in the institution, to continue to exhibit unflinching patriotism to the nation and diligence in their subsequent engagements.
Mimiko, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rotimi Ajayi, gave a advice on Wednesday at the send-off to mark the official disengagement of the corps members from the service of the AAUA.
The VC said, “Please, strive to remain patriotic to this country; retain and improve on the virtue you have taken from the university. There is reward in diligence and integrity. Don’t be complacent with your present status but aspire to be great. Distinguish yourself everywhere you find yourself. Shun distraction and anything that can bring you down.”
He saluted the corps members for their services to the university in the past one year, wishing them well in their future endeavours.
