Meet The New JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede

The Joint Administration and Matriculation Board,JAMB has now received a new registrar in person of Prof Ishaq Oloyede, who was appointed by the President Muhammad Buhari yesterday after reliving the Prof Dibu Ojerinde from the post as JAMB Registrar. Its is believed that Ojerinde whose tenure was suppose to end by April 2017, but was sacked due to the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, UTME, irregularities from result multiplicity, centre relocation and system failure.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede was the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin,UNILORIN before becoming the Chairman Committee of Vice-Chancellors (CVC). He was able to successfully implement projects during his tenure. including the Computer Based Training, The university the twin buildings built by a mutual agreement with e-tranzact, the six halls he built that can sit 1,500 students in examination at the same time or is it the ICT  have a Network Operating centre and the University can now do inter-conferencing with people abroad.

Then emerged the president of Association of African universities (AAU). He also served on the board of Association of commonwealth Universities (ACU), 2010 to 2012 and International Association of Universities (IAU), 2008 to 2012. He was the Executive Secretary and National Coordinator of the Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) from 2007 to 2012 and currently the Secretary General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
