Screening Options
Candidates can choose one of the following options:
- Option A: Regular Students seeking admission via UTME (100 level) and Direct Entry.
- Option B: Regular Students with Entrepreneurship seeking admission via UTME (100 level only).
Note: You must select only one option during the admission screening process, as applying for both options is not permitted.
Eligibility Criteria for LASU Post-UTME Screening
To participate in the screening exercise, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- First Choice Institution:
- LASU must be your first choice in the 2024 UTME.
- Minimum UTME Score:
- A minimum score of 195 in the UTME is required.
- Age Requirement:
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 1st October 2024.
- Pre-Degree Students:
- Candidates who completed the LASU Pre-Degree programme and selected LASU as their first choice in UTME with a score of 195 or above are eligible.
- Direct Entry:
- Candidates with a JAMB Direct Entry Form and those with a LASU Foundation (JUPEB) are eligible to apply.
- Indigeneship Verification:
- Candidates of Lagos State origin who have been verified by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) are automatically validated for the screening.

How to Apply for LASU Post-UTME Screening
Step-by-Step Application Process
- Online Payment Registration:
- Visit the LASU official website at LASU Website.
- Navigate to the ‘Student’ section and click on ‘New Applicants’.
- Select the option for ‘UTME/DE Screening’.
- Enter your UTME Registration Number and Surname, then submit your details.
- Make Payment:
- Pay the screening fee through the LASU portal.
- The screening fee is N2,000.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment using your ATM-enabled card.
- Complete the Screening Application:
- After payment, complete the application form and print your Temporary Self-Screening Report.
- Online Self-Screening Form:
- Log back into the LASU Screening Portal here.
- Enter your UTME Registration Number and Surname to log in.
- Fill in your personal details and upload your O’Level and UTME results.
- Select your course of study and ensure that all details are correct before submitting your application.
- Download and print your Screening Report.
Screening Grading System
The screening process will use a point grading system based on your UTME score and your SSCE grades in five relevant subjects. The grading system is as follows:
- A1: 10 points
- B2: 9 points
- B3: 8 points
- C4: 7 points
- C5: 6 points
- C6: 5 points
The maximum obtainable score is 50%.
