Igbajo Polytechnic Graduates To Proceed On NYSC After Graduation
Igbajo Polytehnic graduates can now go for youth service following appropraite approval by National Youth Service Corps. The body had granted the polytechnic located in the Boluwaduro Local Government of Osun State, the approval to present its graduates for the one-year compulsory service programme.
The Rector, Mr. Tanimowo Oke, made this known at a meeting with members of the institution’s Board of Trustees on Friday. The approval, Oke said, was given by the NYSC leadership in a letter with ref. no. NYSC/DHQ/CM/M/124/22, dated April 29, 2015. Mr. I. Fasanu, the rector added, signed the letter on behalf of the NYSC Director-General. The letter read, “I am directed to inform you that after a careful consideration of your application viz-a-viz the records from National Board for Technical Education, your institution has been included in the list of corps producing institutions with institution code OS00020.”
Meanwhile, the BoT members hailed approval given to the institution.
The institution, with over a thousand students’ offers courses in Computer Science, Accountancy, Science Laboratory Technology, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Microbiology and Electrical Electronics.
The school is also seeking accreditation in Mechanical Engineering Tech, Agric. Engineering Tech, Estate Management, Mass Communication and Office Tech & Management.
