FUNAAB To Graduate 112 With First-Class Honours
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB Prof Felix Salako, has said that a total of 112 students of the institution are expected to graduate with first class Bachelor degrees at its 27th convocation event scheduled to take place on Tuesday (today).
Speaking during a briefing held on Monday, Salako said 112 out of the 3,226 students that would be graduating from the university with first class.
The vice-chancellor said, “123 bagged PhD, 300 bagged Masters degrees, 47 bagged PGD and 37 bagged Masters in Business Ainistrationdm”.
He appealed to the Federal Government to restore the College of Management Sciences for admission and to approve all its programmes.
Salako also appealed to the Federal Government to support the university with more funds in other to produce more first class graduates.
While reading out the programme of events for the convocation, he hinted that the university would confer an honorary doctoral degree of Science on the President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina.
According to him, the Senate and Governing Council of the institution had also considered it appropriate for the university to appoint two professors emeriti for the first time during the convocation.
