FULokoja Resumption Date 2022/2023 After ASUU Strike

Federal University Lokoja, FULOKOJA resumption date for 2022/2023 academic session after ASUU suspended the eight-month-old the strike has been announced. Although the university officially re-opened on Monday, October 17, 2022, lectures does not start until a later date.

In other words, the management of the Federal University, Lokoja has announced the resumption date for the 2022/2023 academic activities. Students should start preparing to head back to school.

In the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA)’s vice-chancellor’s address delivered at the FUL Senate Emergency Meeting held Monday, 17th October, 2022, he announced the resumption date.

The University Senate set the start date for lectures at October 24 at an emergency meeting held today at the Senate Chamber (Multipurpose Hall), Permanent Site, which was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi. The University officially resumes today, Monday, October 17, 2022.

To make this very clear, after ASUU called off the strike, FULOKOJA resumes lectures on Monday, 24th October, 2022.

The Vice-Chancellor took use of the opportunity to make a strong plea to the academic staff to make up for the time lost in their schedules so that the students would not be unfairly affected by the strike.

Similarly, the VC briefed distinguished members of Senate of some major policy decisions taken by the Principal Officers Committee (POC) in their weekly meetings all through the period of the strike.

One of these decisions is the relocation of the Faculty of Science from the College of Health Sciences, Adankolo Campus to the University Permanent Site. The action commenced on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
