Eligible Programmes for FG BEA Scholarship
Undergraduate Programmes
The scholarship covers undergraduate studies in countries such as:
- Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria.
- Fields of Study: Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine, Pilot Engineering, Neurology, Mathematics, and more.
Postgraduate Programmes
Scholarships are available for Masters and PhD programs in:
- Russia, China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.
- Note: Postgraduate applicants who completed their first degree in Russia are eligible only for postgraduate studies in Russia.
Steps to Apply for FG BEA Scholarship
- Visit the Federal Ministry of Education Website.
- Locate the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB): Click the FSB icon on the homepage.
- Complete the Application Form: Follow the provided instructions and submit the form online.
- Print the Application Form: Retain a copy for reference.
Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Scholarships
- Applicants must have seven distinctions (A and B grades) in WAEC or WASSCE, including English and Mathematics.
- Certificates must be dated 2023 or 2024 for non-African countries and 2024 for African countries.
- Age: 17–20 years.
Postgraduate Scholarships
- Must hold a first-class or second-class upper-division degree.
- Completion of NYSC is mandatory.
- Age:
- Master’s: Maximum 35 years.
- PhD: Maximum 40 years.
- Required Documents: NYSC discharge/exemption certificates and proof of employer release (if applicable).
General Notes for All FG BEA Scholarship Applicants
- Language Requirement: Non-English-speaking BEA countries require a one-year language course.
- Hungary Applicants: Apply through the Stipendium Hungaricum Portal (closes 15 January 2025).
- Russia Applicants: Visit the Education in Russia Portal for details.
- Document Upload: All documents (e.g., WAEC/WASSCE results, certificates, NYSC, NIN slip) must be in PDF format.
