OVER 4000 candidates partake in PTDF 2016/2017 OSS Aptitude Test. The much anticipated Petroleum Technology Develpoment Fund (PTDF) 2016/2017 Oversea Scholarship Scheme (MSc) aptitude test, which only students from a few selected Tertiary Institutions were eligible take part.
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources established by Decree 25 of 1973 for the purpose of developing and promoting petroleum technology and for creating the manpower needs of the oil and gas industry through research and training and educating Nigerians for its Oil and Gas industry
The Fund’s Mandate is dedicated to building of capacities and capabilities in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas industry through the development of human capacities, institutional capacity development as well as the promotion of research and acquisition of relevant technologies.
PTDF 2016/17 OSS (MSc) APTITUDE TEST
With over four thousand candidates who were shortlisted to participate in the PTDF 2016/2017 Oversea Scholarship Scheme. Applicants were grouped into MSC applicants and Ph.D applicants

To ensure a steadfast implementation of this mandate, PTDF invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for Overseas and in-Country MSc and PhD Scholarships. Awards will be granted for studies in the 2016/2017 academic session in the United Kingdom Germany, Australia, USA and France (Grenoble INP) as well as PTDF upgraded Universities in Nigeria.
How They Applied for PTDF 2016/2017 OSS Aptitude Test
Application Forms for PTDF 2016/2017 OSS Aptitude Test were available online using an ATM (Interswitch, Master Card & Visa card) or through purchase of a scratch card from designated main branches of First Bank of Nigeria Plc in all the 36 States and FCT, upon payment of the sum of N1,000 (One Thousand Naira Only). Instructions on how to access the form online were clearly stated on the backside of the cards. The exam was successfully conducted on Saturday the 2nd of April 2016 at three designated centers in Lagos, Abuja and Port- Harcourt.
Over 4000 candiates who met the requirements for the PTDF 2016/2017 OSS Aptitude Test were shortlisted and invited for a Computer Based Aptitude MSc Test, while oral interview will be conducted for PhD applicants on later date. Following the aptitude tests and interview, successful candidates will be selected and awarded the PTDF 2016/2017 OSS Aptitude Test.
