Enugu State University Of Science & Technology, ESUT Expels 107 Over Fake Certificates
This is not a good one coming from one of our universities in Nigeria, Enugu State University Of Science & Technology, ESUT, where the management of the school recently approved the expulsion of 107 students over falsification of certificates.
The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), has expelled about a hundred and seven students from the institution.
The students, who were at the various stages of their University education, were sent packing for alleged forgery of their Ordinary National Diploma, OND, certificates.
The Vice chancellor of the University, Professor Cyprian Onyeji, who made this known on Friday during the 32nd matriculation ceremony of the University, cautioned the new students to be of good conduct and discard all forms of examination malpractices.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the senate of the university approved the expulsion of the students during it’s 238th regular meeting, having discovered that the affected students forged the OND certificates with which they gained admission into the university.
Onyeji disclosed that ESUT had in the past one year sanctioned up to one hundred and fifty students for their involvement in various forms of examination malpractices.
We always preach here that it is better to get your certificates the right way and don’t get admission through the back door. Some might have done it successfully but they might have been lucky. We are not the same and can never be as fortunate as one another. Always do the right things.
We hope this serve as a lesson to all admission-seekers to get the right certificates the right and not try to use short-cuts.
