BUK Mass Communication Department Upgraded To Faculty
Bayero University Kano has upgraded her Department of Mass Communication to Faculty of Media Studies. The HOD of Mass comm department at BUK announced this to the public. He also added that the new faculty comprises of 3 departments. Read the full details below;
BUK Mass Comm Department Upgraded To Faculty
The Head of the Department of Mass Communication, B.U.K, Dr. Balarabe Maikaba has announced that the Department has now been upgraded to the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies. He stated this yesterday during the level 3 students’ mock annual meeting held at Musa Abdullahi Auditorium of the University.
According to him, the new faculty comprises of three departments namely; journalism, mass comm. And visual art studies. He said the rationale behind the event is to provide the level 3 students who are offering Techniques of public relation to have critical knowledge of their studies. He said the event helps the students to demonstrate how to organize, plan and conduct annual general meeting of a company.
The leader of the students Haruna Muhd Salisu said the event helps them to put into practice the theory aspect of their studies. He said with this, students will understand the philosophy behind their course of study.
