Borno State University To Commence Operation In October
Borno State University is to commence operation and start academic activities in October. The Borno State University is a proposed University which has September as the deadline for the completion of the project to enable the authorities seek permission from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the institution’s take off.
Operation will begin operation next October, according to Professor Abubakar Mustapha, the Chairman, Technical Committee for the establishment of the university.
Borno State University To Start Operation In October
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the establishment technical committee was first inaugurated in 2010, under the chairmanship of late Prof. Nuru Alkali, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri.
The committee was reconstituted by Gov. Kashim Shettima in January 2016, following Alkali’s death in 2015. You should also know that Borno State already has a Federal university – University of Maiduguri.
