Eligibility Criteria for Borno State University BOSU Post UTME & Direct Entry Screening

To be eligible for the Borno State University BOSU Post UTME & Direct Entry screening, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • University Preference: Candidates must select Borno State University (BOSU) as their first choice in the 2024 UTME and have scored a minimum of 150. Some programm may require higher scores. For specific program cut-off marks, visit the BOSU cut-off mark information.
  • Academic Requirements: A minimum of five relevant credits in O’ Level exams, including English and Mathematics, is required for admission.
  • UTME Subject Combinations: Candidates must have the appropriate subject combinations in the 2024 UTME that align with their chosen program.

Direct Entry Requirements:

  • O’ Level Results: Direct Entry candidates must have at least five relevant O’ Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
  • NCE/ND/HND/Degree: Candidates must possess a minimum of 9 points in NCE, a Lower Credit in ND/HND, or a Second Class Lower in a degree programme.

  1. Visit the BOSU Website:
    Go to the BOSU official website and click on the PORTAL option.
  2. Access the Post UTME Portal:
    Select ‘New application’ from the Post UTME Portal.

    Use your phone number as both your username and password.
  4. Make Payment:
    Choose between ATM Card Payment or Bank Payment:
    • ATM Card Payment: Select ‘Proceed to payment,’ choose your card type, and enter your card details. Confirm the payment with the OTP sent to you. A fee of N2,000.00 will be deducted.
    • Bank Payment: Select a bank, print the e-invoice with the Remita Reference Number, and pay N2,000.00 at a commercial bank. Obtain a receipt from the bank.

    Provide your O’ Level results (a maximum of two sittings). Direct Entry candidates must also enter their diploma or statement of result details.
  8. Upload Documents (For Direct Entry Candidates Only):
    Ensure that each document is in PDF format and between 200kb and 300kb.
  9. Review and Submit:
    Carefully review your application to ensure all details are correct before submitting.
  10. Print Your Application:
    After submission, print a copy of your application form for future reference.
