Benson Idahosa University Moves To Permanent Site
Benson Idahosa University (BIU) has moved to its permanent site at Okha. The management of the university announced the development with the movement of the Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology to the campus.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ernest Izevbigie, said that the movement was in line with the National Universities Commission’s mandate for every university to endeavour to move to its permanent site within its first 15 years. He also said that the movement of the faculty represented the attainment of a milestone in the history of the instituion.
He urged members of staff and students of the faculty to take advantage of the opportunity by unleashing their potential and delving into large scale farming.
He also called on the host community to work in harmony with the university.
