ASUP Strike Latest: FG has met 90 percent of ASUP, COEASU demands
The Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike said on Wednesday that negotiations with the leaderships of the striking lecturers in Nigeria’s polytechnics and colleges of education have seen the federal government concede to about 90 percent of the unions’ demands.
Wike also disagreed with claims by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) that he has remained insensitive to negotiations with striking polytechnic lecturers in Nigeria.
He made this known in a statement from his media assistant, Simeon Nwakaudu in Abuja that he has clearly worked hard to resolve the on-going labour disagreement between members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU).
