COOU Post-UTME/Direct Entry 2024/2025: Simple Guide
The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University – COOU Post-UTME & DE screening form for the 2024/2025 academic session is now opened.
Candidates who selected COOU as their first choice in the 2024 UTME are invited to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for COOU Post-UTME/Direct Entry
- Minimum UTME Score:
- 200 and above for competitive courses like Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- 150 and above for other courses.
- Direct Entry Candidates:
- Candidates who selected COOU as their first choice in the Direct Entry (DE) process are also eligible.
Registration Steps for COOU Post-UTME/Direct Entry
Follow these detailed steps to complete your registration:
1. Payment of Processing Fee
- A fee of N2,000.00 is required for the Post-UTME form.
- Payment should be made via the REMITA platform, which is available at any commercial bank.
2. Generate PUTME Invoice
- Visit the COOU Portal.
- Click on Prospective Students and select the option for Generate 2024/2025 PUTME Invoice.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click Sign in to generate an invoice.
3. Make Payment
- After generating the invoice, you can pay at any bank or use your ATM card for easier online transactions.
- Once payment is successful, return to the portal to continue the registration process.
4. Complete Application
- Re-enter your JAMB Registration Number and click on Apply Here.
- Fill in required personal details such as your Date of Birth.
- Upload the necessary documents:
- O’level results should be uploaded via JAMB CAPS at accredited CBT centres.
- Upload your JAMB Result Slip and O’Level results (both 1st and 2nd sitting if applicable).
- Ensure that all uploaded documents do not exceed 50KB in size.
5. Review and Submit
- Review your entries on the Summary Page to ensure all details are correct.
- Tick the Confirmation Box and click Submit.
- Print the Acknowledgement Slip for your records.
Direct Entry Application
Candidates applying for Direct Entry in the 2024/2025 session who chose COOU must also complete the screening. Follow the same steps, but ensure you select the Direct Entry application option on the portal.
