ALU Youth Ambassador Representatives (Africans youth opportunity)
African Leadership University founded by Fred Swaniker and sister company ‘African Leadership Academy’, are looking to hire Youth Ambassadors to represent ALU across Africa. This role presents an exciting opportunity for young, talented, highly motivated and well-spoken individuals to play a critical role in an organization that will change the face of university education.
ALU (African Leadership University) is a world-class tertiary institution offering undergraduate programs that is aimed at developing future leaders of Africa. There goal is to transform Africa, they believe that Africa’s biggest untapped resource is its people. Over the next 50 years,more than 50 campuses would be built across Africa, that will educate over 3 million young leaders – the ones who will go on to become presidents of countries, CEO’s, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, journalists, doctors, engineers, and so on. These are the people who will change Africa. The first campus would be launched in republic of Mauritius by September 2015
CRITEIRA
Criteria’s and ideal Youth Ambassador candidate;
The ideal application must be:
1] Interested in innovative approaches to marketing
2] Determined and Focused with the ability to prioritize and get things done
3] well driven and goal-oriented with a never die spirit (i.e. someone who does not give up easily and will continuously try multiple, creative ways to solve problems)
4] someone who frequently is ready to learn,ask and gives feedback with the aim of continuous improvement
Experience and expertise needed :
1] High school (secondary. School) graduate
2] Experience with using social media sites
3] Strong public speaking capability
4] Fluent English and native Language spoken in their home country
Roles and Responsibilities:
1] The overall goal for all Youth Ambassador is to gain 500 applications to ALU’s first campus from their home country
2 ] Toassist and maintain ALU’s online presence, by:
* Posting on social media about ALU
* Writing blog posts about ALU
3] Represent ALU in their communities by:
* publicly Speaking at schools and other institutions
* Speaking at Community events
* Disseminating information and updates
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have:
1] A personal constant, working internet connected mobile phone
2] A personal working internet connected laptop
3] Full time commitment to the ALU YA program.
NB: Youth Ambassadors cannot have any other employment or study commitment
BENEFITS
Youth Ambassadors will be opportuned to:
1] Represent ALU in their home country

3] Earn US$200 per month
4] Receive training in South Africa (all expenses paid)
5] Develop business and relationship- building skills
