ABUAD Introduces New Course Called ‘Social Justice’
Authorities of the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, (ABUAD) say its newly- introduced Social Justice Administration is born out of security challenges in the country.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Michael Ajisafe, made this known at the opening of its certificate programme in social justice, News Agency of Nigeria reports.
Ajisafe said the need to combat threats to internal security of the country could not be over-emphasised.
“Today’s society is filled with friction, hostility and various forms of conflict, either between some states and the Federal Government or between one man and the state,’’ he said.
According to him, the programme, which is being run in collaboration with the Nigeria Police, will also touch on the general legal framework for combating terrorism.
