ABSU Matriculates Over 6000 For 2014/2015 Session
ABSU has matriculated well over 6,012 students for the 2014/2015 academic session. The students were admitted into the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the institution respectively as they took their matriculation oath at the 33rd matriculation ceremony of the Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu.
Speaking at the matriculation ceremony, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Chibuzor Ogbuagu, urged the fresh students to shun cultism as the university has zero tolerance for all forms of misconduct, including examination malpractices. Ogbuagu advised the new students to always dress decently throughout their stay on campus as he admonished to always remember the reason they were in school and put God first in everything they do.
The VCÂ used the occasion of the 33rd matriculation ceremony to announce his exit from office as he told his audience the event was the last he would preside over as vice chancellor.
