Eligibility for YSU Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening

To be eligible for the YSU Post UTME or Direct Entry screening, candidates must meet the following criteria:

For UTME Candidates:

• First Choice: Candidates must have selected YSU as their first choice during UTME registration.
• UTME Score: A minimum aggregate score of 140 in the 2024 UTME is required.

For Direct Entry Candidates:

• A-Level Qualifications: Candidates must possess relevant A-Level qualifications or higher in their chosen field.
• O’Level Requirements: A minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English and Mathematics, is required.
• Results Upload: O’Level and A’Level results must be uploaded to the JAMB CAPS platform before the screening date.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for YSU Post UTME

Follow these steps to complete your application:

1. Start Registration: Online registration begins on Friday, 6th September 2024.
2. Generate Remita: Visit any cyber café to obtain a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number.
3. Make Payment: Pay a screening fee of ₦2,000 through Remita, either online or at any bank, and print the payment slip.
4. Complete the Registration: Go to the YSU Post UTME Portal to complete the registration form.

Important Notes for Applicants

• Ensure YSU is your first choice and you meet the departmental cut-off marks.
• If you do not meet the required cut-off, you must apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal
• Candidates must upload their O’Level and A’Level results on the JAMB CAPS Portal
