Also as part of its bid in making the 2022 UTME exams hitch free, JAMB disclosed that the self-service registration outlets will help reduce the congestion experienced in its accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) centres in Lagos and Abuja.
The self-service outlets is aimed at enhancing the digital competence of candidates who are tech savvy, hence can register themselves for the exams coming in May. This will also expand the boards registration access points while complying with government’s COVID-19 guidelines.
JAMB also in its weekly bulletin announced the introduction of a WhatsApp platform which will serve as an additional complaint and support channel for candidates.
According to JAMB, the new WhatsApp platform was not a replacement but an addition to their already existing support channels in order to effectively attend to the needs of candidates and clients alike.
“With this extra platform, candidates and other stakeholders would have the benefit of instant messaging and solutions to whatever query they might have regarding any of the operations of the board.
To this end, ASD Technologies, the developer of the WhatsApp solution announced that the platform would provide help for such things as step-by-step registration procedures, for instance, as well as providing a feedback mechanism for effective service delivery.’’
