Cut-off Mark for Unity Schools in Nigeria 2021

The Nigerian Unity Schools cut-off marks for 2021 admission exercise have been released. The Federal Ministry of Education pegs the cut-off marks into Unity Schools at different numbers for all the states of the federation.

It is different for every state and region of the country. The point required for admission is 134 average for South-East and as low as 2 points For Zamfara State.

The national cut off marks for 2020/2021 has been peg at 142.

According to the minister for education, the admission criteria set by FG for unity schools is as follows:

  • National merit or the cut off mark would take 60%, equality of state 30%, and other factors 10%
  • Candidates who apply for schools outside their state of origin would be given priority

After the conduct of the examination, Umeonyiagu Chinua Crucifixio of Anambra State scored 199 marks. The student is closely followed by Onwuamanam Udochukwu of Enugu State and Salaam Mariam Aderemilekun of Lagos State. They scored 198 and 197 marks respectively.

According to the table above and our analysis, Anambra has the highest cut-off of “139 marks for both male and female students. Imo State has 138, Enugu 134, Lagos 133, Delta 131, Ogun 131, Abia 130 and Edo” to complete the top 7.
