Will There Be WAEC In 2021 (May/June)?

The authorities of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has made a pronouncement about this matter. They said the Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE) may not hold in May/June due to the disruption of academic calendar by COVID-19.

That does not mean the examination will not hold. It only means that the May/June WAEC will simply not hold in May and June. Poetic, right? The exam will be scheduled for later dates in the year.

According to the Head, Nigeria office (WAEC) Patrick Areghan while speaking on the WAEC GCE performance, explained that the exam will hold later in the year.

The official WAEC Twitter handler also reiterated this position in a Tweet on 9th April, 2021.
