General Admission Requirements for MOUAU Postgraduate Admission Program

Candidates must meet the following general and program-specific requirements to be eligible for admission.

General Requirements

• O’Level Credits: Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
• Additional Credits: Three more credits are needed for subjects relevant to the field of study.

Programme-Specific Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• A Third Class Honours degree in a relevant field from a recognized university or
• A Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least an Upper Credit in a relevant discipline.
• For unclassified HNDs, acceptable CGPA:
  • 5-point scale: Minimum 3.50.
  • 4-point scale: Minimum 3.00.
  • Percentage scale: 60%.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Eng.)

• A first degree with at least Second Class Honours from MOUAU or another recognized institution.
• Alternatively, an HND with Upper Credit and a Postgraduate Diploma in a related field.
• Other qualifications approved by the university’s Senate may be considered.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

• A Master’s degree that includes coursework and research components from MOUAU or any other recognized university.
• Minimum CGPA requirements:
  • 5-point scale: 4.00.
  • 4-point scale: 3.00.
  • Percentage scale: 60%.

How to Apply for the MOUAU Postgraduate Admission

• Visit the MOUAU Postgraduate Portal to initiate your application.

Step 2: Pay Application Fee

• Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦25,000 through the Remita platform.

Step 3: Complete the Application

• After payment, proceed to the next stage on the MOUAU portal.
• Fill out the form and submit it online.

Step 4: Print the Transcript Application Label

• Once the application is completed, print the Transcript Application Label displayed on the portal.
• Forward this label to the institution where your qualifying degree was earned.
