Information For LASU’s Candidates Whose Courses Are Not Available – 2016/2017
Information for the Lagos State University, LASU’s candidate whose courses are not available for the 2016/2017 academic session. It had been observed that some candidates who chose the Lagos State University as their choice of institution (1st or 2nd) have not been able to register for the 2016/2017 admission screening exercise as a result of non-availability of their chosen courses during the 2016/2017 Academic session.
Information to Candidates Whose Courses Are Not Available For Admission 2016/2017
The Management of LASU have tried to appealed to candidates whose courses are not available for admission for the 2016/2017 academic session with the option of changing their courses. The affected courses are Business Administration, English Language, French, Yoruba & Communication Arts and Philosophy.
In view of this, the affected candidates in respect of the listed programmes have been given the option of changing their choice of courses to any course relating to their 1st choice of course, FOR WHICH THEY ARE QUALIFIED.
1.) Candidates changing course from Business Administrationto related courses must possess Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other relevant subjects, applicable to their new choice of course.
2.) Candidates changing course from English Language to related courses must possess Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Literature in English and three (3) other subjects, applicable to their new choice of course.
3.) Candidates changing course from French to related courses must possess Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language and French plus at least one (1) other Arts subject.
4.) Candidates changing course from Yoruba & Communication Arts to related courses must possess Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Yoruba, plus any other three (3) subjects.
5.) Candidates changing course from Philosophy to related courses must possess Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, and four (4) other Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
In addition to this, candidates must ensure that their UTME subject combinations of their 1st choice of courses are related to the UTME subject combinations of their new chosen courses (please consult the 2016/2017 JAMB Brochure for detailed information).
