Iyela Reappointed FCE Okene Provost.

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the re-appointment of. Prof. Iyela Ajayi for a second tenure as the Provost, Federal College of Education, Okene.

A statement yesterday signed by the institution’s Deputy Registrar, public relation/information, Peter Otomorihi Ovansa, said Prof. Iyela was reappointed as a resulted of his landmark achievements and exemplary leadership.

The statement said the first tenure of the provost from 2009 to 2013 witnessed rapid transformation of the college, and that there had been uninterrupted peace with stable academic calendar free of strikes and protests.

According to the statement, during his first tenure there were over 30 capital and 70 renovation projects executed in the institution, adding that the provost also established the Ebira Studies Centre and a skill acquisition centre to render relevance to the outside community.

The statement further said that the provost also brought to reality the 18 years’ dream of the college to run degree programmes.
