2015 Heriot Watt University Scholarships in IT and Computer Science for International Students in Scotland
Applications are now on for the 2015 Heriot Watt University Scholarships in IT and Computer Science for International Students in Scotland. Each year, the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS) at Heriot-Watt University offers a number of International Scholarships & Funding opportunities to overseas non-UK students who apply to study at the university.
One of these International Scholarships & Funding opportunities is the MACS Computer Science Overseas Scholarships offered by MACS to postgraduate overseas students studying full time MScs in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Scholarship Value
The school is offering scholarship awards worth £2,500 each. All scholarships are given as a non-cumulative reduction on the full overseas tuition fee payable. This is a onetime tuition fee reduction award Scholarship benefit.
Eligibility
Open to all new overseas applicants who have accepted a (un) conditional offer of a place on a full-time taught postgraduate programme in Computer Science or Information Technology for the next academic year starting in September.
Citizens of ANY country ( EXCEPT the UK) are eligible.
Application Procedure and Deadline
All applicants MUST already hold an offer of a study place on a taught programme at the University when they apply for the scholarship. Afterwards, you may then apply for this scholarship.
The online scholarship application form is available on the official website (link to it is below). It may be downloaded from there and then filled. It is necessary to visit the official website (link to it is below) to access the scholarship application form and for complete information on how to apply for this scholarship. Applications must be received by 30th April 2015.
The scholarship application form should be word processed, typewritten or completed in black ink. And it should be returned before 30th April as directed on the official website. All applicants must show academic merit and financial circumstances, as these criteria are used for selecting and awarding the scholarships.
Applicants will be informed in early June of the outcome of their applications as soon as the decisions have been made by the Scholarship Awards Panel.
