Jigawa Approves N16 Million for UTME Registration Cards

Jigawa State Governor has approved N16 Million for the purchase of 2015 JAMB UTME Registration Scratch Cards for about 3000 candidates. The State Government has also opened seven computer centres in Dutse, Kazaure, Hadejia, Gumel, Ringim and Bamaina, each equipped with 150 desktop computers for the 2015 JAMB UTME examination.

Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State has approved the release of N16 million for the purchase of 3,000 JAMB UTME scratch cards for final year secondary school students in the state.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Haruna Wakili, disclosed this at the weekend when he inspected the JAMB computer centre at the Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse.

The commissioner who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Malam Abdullahi Hudu and other officials, said the state government had established seven computer centres in Dutse, Kazaure, Hadejia, Gumel, Ringim and Bamaina, each equipped with 150 desktop computers for the 2015 JAMB UTME examination.

Wakili noted with dismay, the poor sanitary condition at the library complex and entire compound of the state polytechnic and urged the management of the institution to immediately clean up the compound.
