Tai Solarin University of Education, the first University of Education in Nigeria was established as a specialized University of Education in the year 2005 to produce graduates who are adequately equipped in both course contents and pedagogy to meet the various challenges of contemporary University education especially in the area of vocational skills and entrepreneurship knowledge. The University lays premium on information communication Technology (ICT) and it has very strong local and international linkages with other Educational Institutions In the areas of teaching learning and research activities. Tai Solarin University of Education is recruiting to fill the below position:

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Ijagun, Ogun State

Job Description
The Bursar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University. He/She should possess the ability to provide the University with appropriate advice and support for all of the Institutions financial transactions including investment.

Academic / Professional Qualifications

i.) A good Honours Degree in Accounting from a recognized University

ii.) He/She must be a member of at least one of the underlisted professional bodies or their equivalents:

-Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)

-Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)

iii.) He/She must be computer literate and also possess a demonstrable ability in the use of computer and access to the internet.

Experience:
The applicant must have been a Deputy Bursar or equivalent and must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience seven (7) years of which must have been spent in a University.

Remuneration
CONTISS 15

Conditions of Service
The successful candidate shall hold office for five(5) years in the first instance and may be renewed for a second term of five (5) years based on satisfactory performance. Other terms and conditions are as applicable to any public owned University in Nigeria and as may be determined by appropriate University Laws and the Governing Council.
