Oko Polytechnic Rector Wants End To ASUP Strike
Federal Polytechnic, Oko rector, Professor Godwin Onu has urged ASUP to put an end to the ongoing strike by calling it off. ASUP embarked on this strike 11 months ago and it has paralyzed academic activities in Polytechnics all over the country.

Oko Polytechnic Rector ASUP Strike to be called off
The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, Professor Godwin Onu, urged Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) to end the 11-month old strike that has deprived students the opportunity to receive lectures for a full academic session.
Professor Godwin Onu, said the prolonged strike action has not in any way benefited both the striking workers and students. He however pleaded with the striking members of the institution’s Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) to end the strike for the sake of students who ought to have graduated, but had remained at home, while those who have completed all the processes for admission, were yet to begin lectures.
