LASU School Fees

According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lateef Ibirogba, the final decision might be made during June 10, 2014, Tuesday, after more thorough checks and analysis.

“On the reduction of the tuition fees, perhaps when we reach the final conclusion on the recommendations made, that is when we will be able to decide if the tuition fee will be reduced or not.

“At the moment, we are yet to reach agreement on the issues. For us to have spent five hours deliberating on the issues, it showed that we are ready to address the issues immediately. It will be premature to reveal what the committee recommended,” the commissioner concluded.

You will recall that LASU tuition fee was increased from initial N25,000 to as much as N300,000 for some courses. This caused controversies including protest by students of LASU. This lead to the arrest of some of the protesters. They have been arraigned in court but presently on bail.

Students of LASU then stormed the office of the Governor with pots, beds and stoves to demand the release of their colleagues. We all hope this new LASU school fees get reduced by LASG.
