700 Katsina Students Get Scholarship To Study Abroad
Katsina State Government has sponsored 700 indigenes to study science-related courses in foreign countries. Governor Ibrahim Shema revealed this at the commissioning of Fatimah Shema Science Model Primary School in Katsina.

The school was built by Chinese government and named after the wife of the state governor.
Shema explained that government paid school fees and allowances for the students for period of five years.
He said recently, government conducted interview for another set of students on foreign scholarship.
Shema said to boost girl child education, his administration has constructed 34 girls primary schools.
“We have established a department to take care of girls education,” he said.
Shema, who launched distribution of instructional materials worth N900 million, said it was aimed at improving quality of education.
Besides, the Chairman, state Universal Basic Education Board, Aminu Danbaba, said the board has held meeting with stakeholders on education to move same forward.
He said part of recommendations of the meeting was to ensure unscheduled visits to schools and ensure training of teachers.
