210 Graduate From American University of Nigeria
The American University of Nigeria (AUN) Yola, Adamawa State graduated 210 students. Among those that passed out, 181 were graduates of first degrees, while 29 were post-graduates.
In her speech at the 8th graduation ceremony of the institution, the President of the AUN, Dr. Mergee Ensign, thanked the founder of the university, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, for his sacrifice in nurturing the university to its present status, during its infant stages

Ensign noted that since its inception, the university has been playing critical roles in shaping the future leadership in Nigeria and Africa by producing thoroughbred professionals that will change the future of the continent.
She noted that the 2016 graduates are unique for the various humanitarian roles they played in the wake of Boko Haram insurgency that ravaged the North Eastern part of the country having fully participated in providing humanitarian assistance to many of the Internally Displaced Persons.
Akinkunmi added that human development is the most important ingredient for all inclusive development, urging the graduands to be good ambassadors of the university and to serve humanity selflessly.
